Astrum — Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what data Astrum ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and your choices. We aim to collect only what we need to provide the service.

2. Data we collect

a) Data you provide:

• Birth details: date, time and place of birth — used to calculate your natal chart and personalise content.
• Name (optional) and email address — if you sign in with Google or email to save your data.
• Questions and messages you send to the tarot and AI astrologer features.

b) Data collected automatically:

• App usage and preferences (e.g. language, reminder settings), subscription status, and basic device information needed to run the app and diagnose problems.

c) Data from third parties:

• Authentication data from Google/Firebase when you sign in.
• Subscription and purchase status from Apple. We never receive your full payment card details.

3. How we use your data

• To build your natal chart and generate horoscopes, tarot readings, compatibility, the Matrix of Destiny and AI astrologer responses.
• To personalise content and remember your settings.
• To manage your account and subscription.
• To operate, secure, maintain and improve the service, and to respond to support requests.

4. AI processing

To generate readings and interpretations, we send the minimum necessary data (such as your birth signs and the question you ask) to a third-party AI provider that produces the text. This data is processed to create your content and is not used to identify you publicly.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us run Astrum: Apple (payments), Google/Firebase (authentication), our hosting provider, and our AI provider — each only to the extent needed to provide their function, and subject to their own terms. We may disclose data if required by law.

6. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we deactivate it and remove or anonymise your personal data, except where we must retain limited records to comply with law or resolve disputes.

7. Your rights

You can view and edit your birth data in the app, change your settings, and delete your account (Settings → Delete account), which removes your personal data. Depending on your region, you may also have rights to access, correct, export or restrict processing of your data — contact us to exercise them.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

9. Children

Astrum is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International transfers

Your data may be processed on servers located in other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
